The girls have been very spoiled this weekend with hopscotch,
scootering, pizza, milkshakes, birthday party, popcorn, movie...and
thank goodness skiing tomorrow!
You will be glad to know that Jillian can make the pop orn all by
herself.

On the trail back...
View
Another increadible day. Surfed for about six hours in two separate
sessions, both exceptional for different reasons. Put down my book to
call Tzahi and saw five or six whales spout a couple of times as they
headed north. Absolutely fantastic. Headed down to Patrick Point,
walking trail from the campsite, as additional recon for when Amy and
the girls are here next time.

Still some fun ones
Headed north to catch Kevin and surf Half Moon Bay jetty this
afternoon. Then back to camp for another long rest...

Post surf
It's gotten a little smaller with the tide, but still holding 4-6' on
sets from the south. Earlier with low tide WNW was making it in better
and consistently head high to 2' overhead. I can't remember the last
time I surf steamer lane with 10 people out! If it weren't for the
normal crowds, presumably all surfed out from 10 foot plus surf since
Wednesday, this may make my top 5 surf spots...

Spring day
It was 70 degrees when Amy and I got down from the mountain today. The
girls took advantage of the warn weather.

Reckless?
Sabrina has demonstrated a fearless pursuit of excitement in her sport
outings...skiing, swinging, whatever.

Spring all the way around
Amy's spring break is this week so we had a meeting on the slopes
while she dealt with a couple of fires remotely...a great day!

Ski Sundays
Boy are we enjoying the weekly ski Sundays. Another beautiful day today. Jilli is carving and linking quick turns, fully in control and capable of nearly anything on the mountain. Sabrina is the dare devil, it's clearly in her blood...she has no fear, skis faster than most adults and turns are simply an option to prevent collision (took her first big digger today at mach and it didn't slow her down a bit). We are amazed at their athleticism..and their competitiveness and desire to learn is truly inspiring.
It was another happy day on the slopes as a family...
And the snow has been exceptional...thank you El Nino/Southern Oscillation!

The Crew
Our winter Sunday tradition is skiing with the girls at Squaw...last
week we caught up with the Penwardens and the Kates on a beautiful
sunny day!
The girls are both skiing independently on all the green and blue runs!

Open house at school
I was impressed with Sabrina's drilling and sawing skills at MVM open
house.
Jillian showed me her golden beads work (math for those of you not
familiar with Montessori education). Amy and I each got 30 minutes
with each of the girls and we always enjoy their demonstrations of
what they're learning.
